Rams pick up easy 5-0 victory

The Upper Sandusky boys tennis team had no trouble Thursday in a 5-0 North Central Conference victory against Galion.
Trevor Barth rolled in his No. 1 singles match, downing Rowan Kempf, 6-1, 6-0, while Jacob Courtright had an easy time with Scott Kidwell, beating him, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2 singles. After a close first set, 6-4, Brice Arnold blanked Sam Maddox in the second set of his No. 3 singles victory.
Both doubles teams for the Rams (14-1, 9-0 NCC) were 6-0, 6-1 winners. The No. 1 team of Tyler Rice and Seth Sprang topped Evan Belcher and Will Stover, while Evan Scheck and Danial Maltsbarger thumped Kyle Solomon and Alex Barker at No. 2 doubles.
The Rams compete in the NCC tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday at Bucyrus.
