ONTARIO — The Ontario softball team won its second straight North Central Conference game after starting the year with a seven-game losing streak, beating Riverdale, 7-0, on Friday.
The Warriors (5-11, 2-8 NCC) scored two runs in the first inning, two in the third and three in the fifth.
Riverdale (3-12, 0-8 NCC) was held to just four hits and committed five errors. Amber Beltz singled and stole a base to lead the Falcons. Jordyn Wright (2-9) took the loss.
Laura Kitts was the winning pitcher for Ontario.
Cheyanne DeHart single, homered and drove in three runs.
Riverdale travels to Buckeye Central for a game at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
