FOSTORIA — Four players recorded at least six kills as the Mohawk volleyball team dismantled Fostoria St. Wendelin, 25-7, 25-13, 25-5, in Midland Athletic League play Tuesday.
The Warriors (8-1, 4-0 MAL) notched 18 aces against the Mohawks to remain undefeated in league play. Sarah Parker led the offense with 10 kills, Kasey Adelsperger and Julie Adelsperger each had seven and Aubrie Flood had six.
Lynsey Trusty paced the defense with eight digs and the Adelsperger triplets accounted for all four of the Warriors’ blocks on St. Wendelin’s offense.
Julie Adelsperger led the serving attack with eight aces and five other players had at least one. Taylor McClain was second on the team with three.
Ashley Parker was all over the stat sheet with one kill, 33 assists, 2 digs and an ace.
The Warriors also rolled, 25-10, 25-21, in junior varsity action.
Ali Konkle and Mya Morris had four kills apiece and Aubrey Ward and Sheyanne Wilhelm each had three. Wilhelm also had five aces and Stacey Clouse had nine assists.
Mohawk hosts New Riegel at 6 p.m. Thursday.
