Kin leads Blue Devils girls

McCOMB — Shelby Kin had a breakout game with 15 points and six rebounds to help Carey remain undefeated with a 58-44 victory Saturday at McComb.
Logan Johnson scored 10 points and Sydney Wentling and Hannah Draper scored nine points apiece in a balanced effort for the Blue Devils (10-0).
Nora Hemminger scored 16 points and Emily Clymer had 15 points for the Panthers (7-4).
Carey led 16-8 after one quarter but McComb closed its deficit to 29-24 by halftime. A 13-4 Blue Devils advantage in the third quarter helped them pull away.
McComb committed 21 turnovers to Carey’s 15.
There was no junior varsity game.
The Blue Devils host Hopewell-Loudon at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
