Freshman scores 4 times in blowout

Freshman Taylor Emerick had an impressive debut with four goals and two assists as the Upper Sandusky boys soccer team rolled to a 10-0 victory Saturday night against Clyde.
Shin Nagahama scored three times, while Luke Miller passed out three assists for the Rams (1-0).
Emerick needed little time scoring his first high school goal, finding the back of the net in the fourth minute on an assist by Brad Roeder, who then assisted on a Nagahama goal in the seventh minute.
Emerick and Nagahama each scored again, in the 12th and 18th minutes, respectively, on assists by Miller and Emerick. Luke Miller assisted Brandon Miller to make it 5-0 at halftime and then assisted Emerick in the 51st minute.
Brandon Miller scored his second goal on a pass from Emerick only two minutes later, and a minute after that, it was a reversal with Brandon Miller assisting Emerick.
Sam Duress notched a goal with less than two minutes remaining, and less than a minute after that, Nagahama completed his hat trick on an assist from Brandon Miller.
Upper Sandusky held an 18-7 advantage in shots and 5-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Clay Musgrave made three saves and William Amert stopped one shot while sharing time in goal for the Rams. Austin Heishman had six saves for the Flyers.
The Rams travel to Marion Harding for a match at 5 p.m. today.
