Falcons’ Thomas earns medalist honors in defeat by Bucks

ARLINGTON — Riverdale’s Seth Thomas earned medalist honors with a 45, but Buckeye Central topped the Falcons, 188-200, in a North Central Conference golf match Wednesday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course.
Zach Bowman added a 48 for the Falcons (0-13, 0-8 NCC). Conrad Corbin scored a 52 and Luke Bowman shot a 55.
Ray Rose and Adam Conover also competed in Rivardale’s varsity lineup, both shooting 63s.
Adam McGinnis and Matt Sheibley each shot 46s to lead Buckeye Central (4-4, 3-4 NCC).
Tanner Zaebst and Rand Mason both had 48s.
Eric Heydinger and Zach Parker both had 50s.
Buckeye Central also beat Riverdale in the junior varsity match, 234-267.
The Bucks’ Derek Shell led all JV golfers with a 56.
The Falcons’ Caleb Tracy scored a 63.
Riverdale competes in the Ridgedale Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday at Hickory Grove Golf Course.
