Falcons take easy NCC win

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Jordyn Wright scored 16 points and Sydney Holderman added 14 points to keep Riverdale unbeaten in North Central Conference play with a 58-30 home victory against Buckeye Central on Saturday.
The Falcons (7-2, 5-0 NCC) led 15-5 after one quarter before the Bucks closed the gap slightly by halftime to 23-15. But a 19-6 third-quarter advantage helped the Falcons run away.
Brooke Karl paced the Bucks (4-5, 2-3 NCC) with 11 points.
Taylor Frey had nine points, six steals and four assists for Riverdale, which forced 29 turnovers and committed only nine. The Bucks had more rebounds, 37-27.
Riverdale’s junior varsity team remained undefeated overall with a 47-34 victory.
The Falcons host Mohawk at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
