Falcons come up short, 2-1

Here it comes

Riverdale’s Tyler Miller begins his swing at Falcon Field on Friday against Buckeye Central in a non-conference match-up. The Falcons scored once in the seventh inning but came up a run short, 2-1.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale managed one run in the bottom of the seventh inning, but it came up shy, 2-1, against North Central Conference Silver Division champion Buckeye Central on Friday.
Dillon Farrow and Caleb Shultis each doubled and Brett Parish and Josh Bushong singled for the only Falcons hits in the game.
Justin Herrnstein led the Bucks (21-5, 9-2 NCC) with a single and a triple.
Bushong took the loss for Riverdale (6-16, 1-9 NCC). Tyler Erwin picked up the win.
Riverdale hosts Lucas at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
