Club players continue to compete at nationals

COLUMBUS — Blackswamp’s team in the 15 National division of the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships finished 1-1 on Thursday, losing in the semifinals of the Silver Finals.
With Upper Sandusky’s Jenna Holly as a player, the Blackswamp team finished 6-4 overall.
Blackswamp’s 17 National team qualified for the gold finals, splitting a pair of matches in second-round pool play and then winning in three sets to qualify for the gold quarterfinals.
The team includes Mohawk’s Sarah Parker and is 6-2 so far. A champion in the division will be crowed today. Quarterfinal matches were set for 9 a.m. with semifinals slated for 11 a.m. and the championship match to be played at 2 p.m.
In the 16 National division, Blackswamp went 3-0 on Thursday to finish 4-1 in pool play, good enough for second place, allowing it to advance at the highest level for second-round pool play today. Upper Sandusky’s Taylor Graboski is among the players on the team.
Blackswamp had a pair of matches scheduled this morning.
Earlier this week, both Blackswamp’s 14 American and 12 American teams took second place overall.
