Carey finishes 5th, Mohawk 11th at Lokota Invitational

FOSTORIA — Carey finished fifth of 15 teams Friday in the Lakota Invitational golf tournament at Loudon Meadows Golf Course.
The Blue Devils finished with a 349, nine strokes behind winner North Baltimore, which shot a 340. Lake was second with a 344. Mohawk placed 11th with a team score of 382.
Player scores from Mohawk and Carey were not received. However, the Blue Devils’ scores that made up their team score were 83, 83, 91 and 92, while the Warriors had scores of 88, 90, 101 and 103.
Tiffin Calvert’s Jeremy Hanna was the tournament medalist with a 77.
Mohawk and Carey battle each other in a dual match at 4 p.m. Monday at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course.
