Buckeye Central jumps on Riverdale, 11-1

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Buckeye Central got off to a quick start with six runs in the first two innings and took an 11-1 six-inning North Central Conference softball victory against Riverdale on Friday.
The Bucks added one run each in the fourth and sixth innings with three runs in the fifth innings. The Falcons scored their only run in the fifth inning.
Julia Naus had two of Riverdale’s nine hits and its only RBI. Jordan Flemming singled and doubled for the Falcons.
Hannah Heydinger had three hits to lead Buckeye Central.
Morgan Wurm was the winning pitcher, while Jordyn Wright took the loss.
Riverdale hosts Lucas at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
