Officers assisted two Ohio State Highway Patrol units with traffic control at the scene of an accident on East Wyandot Avenue on the afternoon of May 4.
An unruly juvenile in the 400 block of North Drive was reported on the afternoon of May 4. Contact was made with the 14 year old, who said there have been several fights with him and his guardian. He was advised to obey the guardian’s rules.
An Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools employee reported on the afternoon of May 4 that a male subject had rode too close to a bus three times in the past month. The suspect was named.
Jason R. Brown, of Bucyrus, was arrested at Walmart for charges of petty theft on the afternoon of May 4. The stolen items were placed into evidence. It also was learned that he had warrants from Crawford and Richland counties.
A flip phone was turned in on the afternoon of May 4 after being found in a ditch along Ohio 53 West. A message was left with the owner’s mother.
Two 911 calls from Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care were received on the evening of May 4, with the caller hanging up both times. Contact was made with a subject, who advised all was fine.
A female resident reported wanting high water traffic control signs on Warpole Street on the evening of May 4 near an area flooded by rain.
A female resident reported being involved in a non-injury accident on the evening of May 4 while at Harrison Smith Park, but the suspect drove off. Details of the vehicle were given.
Grafitti in the 300 block of Highland Parkway was reported on the evening of May 4.
An officer helped push a disabled vehicle off the roadway on the night of May 4.
A woman in the 200 block of North Sandusky Avenue reported an unwanted guest would not leave her apartment on the night of May 4. The man was advised not to return.
A woman in the 300 block of Henderson Avenue reported someone entered her residence and broke things the night of May 4. Blood from broken glass was taken as evidence.
An officer and K-9 assisted with a patrol stop on North Vance Street in Carey early the morning of May 5. A tiny marijuana roach was discovered, but no charges were filed.
An officer responded to a harassment complaint from a residence in the 300 block of Henderson Avenue early the morning of May 5. The man was advised to stop contacting the complainant.
A man in the 400 block of South Sandusky Avenue reported he was receiving harassing phone calls from an unidentified number early the morning of May 5. A report was taken.
Vernon E. Taylor III, Kirby, was given a verbal warning for defective muffler and stop light violation after a traffic stop on East Wyandot Avenue at Third Street on the morning of April 5. One juvenile was transported to the police department and a report was to be forwarded to the probation office for a possible violation and another had a report forwarded to juvenile court in regard to a possible open container violation.
Cody J. Elwood, Forest, was warned for improper parking in the 100 block of East Walker Street on the morning of May 5. He also was advised to immediately get a valid license plate for the car that he purchased the night before.
An officer removed a bat from the Star Theatre on the morning of May 5 and released it at the reservoir.
An Upper Sandusky man stopped by the department the afternoon of May 5 to advise he wanted money back that he gave to someone previously. He was advised it was a civil matter.
An officer responded to a loud music complaint in the 300 block of West Wyandot Avenue on the afternoon of May 5. The suspect was advised to keep down the volume.
Christopher E. Bryant, Upper Sandusky, was charged with driving without a valid operator’s license and Elizabeth N. Lewis, Upper Sandusky, was charged with wrongful entrustment after a traffic stop at Spring and South Eighth streets the afternoon of May 5.
An officer responded to a complaint of loud music at the girls softball field the afternoon of May 5. The players agreed to turn down the volume.
An Upper Sandusky man stopped by the department to report he received a text message from someone who was not supposed to be contacting him. A report was taken.
Dean A. England, Upper Sandusky, was issued a citation for speed (41/25) and Peggy A. England, Upper Sandusky, was issued a citation for open container in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop in the Church Street and North Sandusky Avenue on the night of May 5.
Two keys on an orange Pfeifer Hardware ring were found in front of The First Citizens National Bank on the night of May 5.
Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of West Walker Street on the night of May 5. A woman’s hand was bleeding and she was taken to Wyandot Memorial Hospital for evaluation, but she would not say what happened. Weapons were seized because the owner was not permitted to have them and a report was to be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for possible charges.
A resident in the 100 block of North Eighth Street reported he smelled marijuana from a residence below his on the night of May 5. An officer did not smell marijuana but took a report.
An officer responded to a complaint of loud music in the 200 block of South Seventh Street early the morning of May 6. Upon arrival, no loud music was heard in the area.
Officers stood by during a domestic dispute in the 400 block of West Walker Street early the morning of May 6.
An officer responded to a noise complaint at Parkway Estates early the morning of May 6. The residents were told charges were going to be filed because of repeated violations at the residence.
An officer assisted a Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office deputy with a traffic stop at South Warpole and Hicks streets early the morning of May 6. Two juveniles in violation of curfew were returned to their residences.
An officer assisted the Ohio State Patrol with an OVI stop near the Boxcar Tavern early the morning of May 6.
A man in the 100 block of North Fifth Street was warned early the morning of May 6 for a noise violation.
An officer responded to a call to assist emergency medical services in the 500 block of West Church Street the morning of May 6, but it was found a medical alert had been activated accidentally.
An officer assisted emergency medical services with a subject who had fallen in the 200 block of High Street the morning of May 6.
A resident of the 500 block of North Seventh Street found a dog without tags the morning of May 6. The owner was identified through a Facebook post by the police department.
An officer responded to a harassment complaint in the 300 block of South Eighth Street the afternoon of May 6. One juvenile involved was warned about a possible probation violation of her house arrest.
William R. Smith, Norfolk, Va., was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way when turning left after a traffic stop on Comfort Lane the evening of May 6.
Devin S. Hord, Upper Sandusky, was issued citations for failure to reinstate and FRA suspension following a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Sandusky Avenue the evening of May 6.
An officer stood by while a woman obtained possessions from a residence in the 300 block of Henderson Avenue the evening of May 6.
April L. Balduf, Upper Sandusky, was given a written warning for window tint following a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Sandusky Avenue the evening of May 6.
An officer responded to a report of a juvenile trying to break into the house where his mother had kicked him out the night of May 6. The woman was advised she was responsible for his care because he still is a juvenile and he was warned about his actions. Both were told a report would be forward to the prosecutor’s office for possible charges.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of South Sandusky Avenue early the morning of May 7 for a house fire. A male was transported to Wyandot Memorial Hospital and then transported to St. Vincent’s Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. Officers took possession of his personal belongings left at the scene.
Michael A. Penczarski, Etna, was cited for speed (53/35) after a traffic stop on East Wyandot Avenue at Advanced Auto the morning of May 7.
An officer performed a welfare check in the 300 block of Henderson Avenue the morning of May 7. The man was OK.
An officer responded to a request of a welfare check in the 600 block of Highland Parkway on the morning of May 7. Everything was OK.
An officer responded to Upper Sandusky Municipal Court the morning of May 7 to assist with a prisoner who collapsed in an elevator.
A minor private property crash was reported the morning of May 7 at Pilot.
Chelsea L. Bennett, Upper Sandusky, backed her 2004 Toyota into a parked vehicle 2007 Pontiac parked behind her in the 300 block of Front Street the afternoon of May 7. Both vehicles sustained bumper damage.
An officer responded to a complaint of someone using a vehicle without permission and without a license in the 500 block of Highland Parkway the afternoon of May 7. The suspect later was located and was warned.
Officers responded to domestic dispute in the 300 block of Henderson Avenue and then later returned the afternoon of May 7. They stood by while a woman obtained her belongings from the residence.
A man in the 200 block of South Sandusky Avenue reported someone was walking on the roof next to his apartment the night of May 7. The man advised he was a Udata employee performing a service and he was advised he should contact the department in advance the next time.
Richard C. Peace, Findlay, was charged with driving under license forfeiture suspension, failure to signal turn/lane change and open container in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop early the morning of May 10 in the 100 block of West Hicks Street.
An officer performed a welfare check in the 1000 block of Halbedel Drive early the morning of May 10. The man was OK.
Charles T. Stewart, Nevada, was given a written warning for obstructed rear plate and license plate light after a traffic stop at the intersection of Raybestos and Malabar drives early the morning of May 10.
A vehicle backing from a driveway in the 400 block of East Bigelow Street struck a parked vehicle the morning of May 10.
Officers responded to a non-injury accident at the intersection of West Wyandot Avenue and Warpole Street the morning of May 10.
An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver the afternoon of May 10. The driver was located in the parking lot of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was not feeling well. His wife was contacted to drive him and his vehicle back to their residence.
An officer responded to a report of a vehicle parked at St. Paul Lutheran Church for an hour the afternoon of May 10. The subject was waiting for her brother to get out of school.
An officer responded to a non-injury accident in the 700 block of North Sandusky Avenue the afternoon of May 10.
Jacob A. Walton, Upper Sandusky, was charged with speed (72/55) after a traffic stop on North Sandusky Avenue at Tarhe Trail the evening of May 10.
An Upper Sandusky woman reported the night of May 10 another woman struck her vehicle with a cart at Discount Drug Mart.
An Upper Sandusky woman requested an officer inform her son’s ex-girlfriend they were throwing out her belongings she left at his residence the evening of May 10. She also left a few items for the woman to pick up. The ex-girlfriend came to the station to get them and an officer stood by at the residence in the 300 block of Henderson Avenue while she collected other belongings.

A woman in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue reported a bicycle was left in her back yard the night of May 10. The bicycle was found to be reported as stolen and was returned to its owner.
Jeremy T. Hughes, Carey, was issued a citation for left of center after a traffic stop the night of May 10. A K-9 also was used to search the vehicle, but no evidence was discovered.
An officer responded to a report of a loose dog in the 500 block of Highland Parkway the night of May 10. A man had taken in the dog and it was returned to its owner after she came through the area searching for it.
A Carey man reported the night of May 10 his car was keyed while parked in the 600 block of Sunset Drive.
Officers responded to a complaint of marijuana being smoked in an apartment in the 100 block of North Eighth Street the night of May 10. The resident admitted he was smoking but said he used it all.
James R. Wallace and Sandra F. Gray, both of Upper Sandusky, were arrested for domestic violence following an incident the night of May 10 in the 300 block of Summit Street. Gray fell while walking into the Wyandot County Jail and scraped her knee on the sidewalk and later was taken to Wyandot Memorial Hospital, where it was found she had a broken rib.
Officers responded to a complaint of people arguing in a driveway in the 500 block of North Eighth Street early the morning of May 11. The residents advised they were not arguing but they would be quieter.
An Upper Sandusky woman reported she was concerned about a woman sleeping in a vehicle near the intersection of Fairview and South Hazel streets the morning of May 11. The driver was OK.
An employee of Circle K reported she was scammed into activating phone cards the morning of May 11.
A woman reported the morning of May 11 a loose dog was on her property. The dog was transported to the Wyandot County Dog Shelter, and a woman seeking the animal later was advised she could find the dog there.
An officer responded to a possible disturbance the morning of May 11. It was found to be a child knocking on the wall inside the apartment.
An Upper Sandusky woman reported finding a child walking alone in the 600 block of Highland Parkway the morning of May 11. It was discovered the boy left his residence while his father was sleeping.
An officer performed a stand-by in the 300 block of Summit Street the afternoon of May 11.
An officer responded to a complaint of a neglected dog in the 1000 block of North Warpole Street the evening of May 11. The dog was found to be well cared for.
An officer stayed on the scene of a disabled vehicle on North Warpole Street near Woody’s Restaurant until it could be removed from the roadway the night of May 11.
A rural Upper Sandusky man reported the night of May 11 her son was involved in a minor accident in the parking lot at Wal-Mart and that the driver of the other vehicle failed to stop. The juvenile did not get a license plate number or driver description.
An officer responded to a minor two-vehicle crash in the 400 block of North Third Street the morning of May 12.
An officer responded along with the Upper Sandusky Fire Department to a report at Comfort Inn of a malfunction of a gas water heater the morning of May 12. The fire department resolved the problem.
Officers responded to an oven fire in the 400 block of North Fifth Street the morning of May 12. The fire was out upon arrival.
Megan E. Gunther-Duncan, Arlington, was cited for speed after a traffic stop on Spring Street at Hazel Street the evening of May 12.
An officer responded the evening of May 12 to a hit skip private property accident at Pilot. A truck driver reported another truck struck his vehicle and left.
An officer performed a welfare check on a man in the 200 block of South Warpole Street the night of May 12. He reported he was OK, but his phone was not working.
Officers responded to a noise complaint in the 300 block of West Johnson Street the night of May 12. Men working on a roof reported they were finishing up for the night.
A woman in the 400 block of North Drive reported hearing suspicious sounds outside early the morning of May 13. Officers later found the noise was coming from a center air conditioning unit.
Athena C. Thomas, Marion, was arrested on a warrant from Upper Sandusky Municipal Court and was transported to the Wyandot County Jail the morning of May 13.
An officer responded to a complaint about an unusually high number of dead fish in the old section of the reservoir the morning of May 13. The water treatment plant supervisor already had been in contact with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources about the issue.
An officer completed a crash report of a tractor trailer striking a parked tractor trailer in the north parking lot of Pilot the morning of May 13.
An officer responded to a complaint of a dog in a crate in the back of a truck in the sun the afternoon of May 13. The vehicle left before the officer arrived.
An Upper Sandusky woman reported her children got into a confrontation with other children at South School the afternoon of May 13. An officer advised the children to stay away from each other.
Douglas G. Lucas, Upper Sandusky, was cited for expired registration and driving under a non-compliance suspension after a traffic stop the afternoon of May 13 on West Hicks Street between Hazel and Eighth streets.
An officer responded to a domestic dispute in the 100 block of North Eighth Street the evening of May 13. The subjects were told to stay away from each other.
An officer responded to a report of a runaway juvenile the night of May 13. The boy was located and returned to his residence. A report was to be forward to juvenile court and children’s services.
An officer responded to a report of a man bleeding from his wrist in the 300 block of Henderson Avenue early the morning of May 14. It was believed the man cut himself and he was transported to Wyandot Memorial Hospital for treatment and counseling.
Officers responded to a report of a dispute in the area of Spring and Eighth streets the morning of May 14. A man was found to have cut his wrist and was transported to Wyandot Memorial Hospital. He later reported he and his girlfriend were having a dispute.
An officer assisted with a raccoon removal the morning of May 14 at Wal-Mart.
An Upper Sandusky man reported a custody issue the evening of May 14. He said the issue involved releasing a child to a guardian and they were advised it was a civil matter.
Veronica S. Willoughby, Carey, was charged with speed (54/35) at the intersection of Tarhe Trail and Commerce Way the night of May 14.
A Rite-Aid employee reported a suspicious man hanging around the store’s dumpsters the night of May 14. The man was gone before an officer arrived.
An Upper Sandusky juvenile complained he was nearly in an accident after someone ran a red light on South Sandusky Avenue at Johnson Street the night of May 14. The woman identified as a suspect denied being in the area.
A woman reported the night of May 14 that her foster daughter would not taker her medicine and was being unruly. An officer advised the woman he could not make the girl take the medication. An officer returned after it was reported the juvenile was continuing to be unruly. The girl advised she would not cause any more problems.
Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office
A man in the 1200 block of CH 16, Sycamore, reported a neighbor caused a large explosion the evening of May 3. The man left before a deputy arrived.
A woman in the 11000 block of CH 29, Carey, reported early the morning of May 3 that her adult son was being disorderly. The man was warned that if a sheriff had to return he would be charged with persistent disorderly conduct.
A woman in the 100 block of South Goodbread Street, Nevada, reported early the morning of May 4 her neighbor had a fire in his yard and she believed he was putting fireworks into the fire. The man was warned after he admitted to burning aerosol and spray paint cans.
A woman from the 11000 block of CH 96, Upper Sandusky, reported the evening of May 4 she received a call from a man wanting to give her money. She was advised that it probably was a scam.
A deputy responded to an alarm in the 8000 block of Ohio 103, Upper Sandusky, on the evening of May 4. Everything was OK.
Deputies responded to a report the night of May 4 that people were riding four-wheelers in the area of CH 37 and CH 38 in Tymochtee Township. No evidence was located in the area.
A woman in the village of Sycamore reported the morning of May 5 she was afraid there might be trouble at an estate auction. A deputy responded but told the woman he could not stand by if there were no problems.
A woman in the 13000 block of CH 135, Nevada, reported the afternoon of May 5 her foster son had not returned home. While a deputy searched for the boy, he came home and was OK.
A man in the 15000 block of TH 45, Wharton, reported the evening of May 5 a neighbor caused damage to his bean field by driving an ATV through it. An officer advised the suspect of the complaint and that he was not to ride in the field anymore.
A woman in the 17000 block of Ohio 103, Carey, reported the night of May 5 her credit card was used in Texas and she needed a report filed.
A woman in the 1200 block of CH 39, Sycamore, reported the night of May 5 a truck was parked on her property. It was found the vehicle had become disabled and was to be towed within the next few days.
Lukas B. Summit, Charles A. Kenner and Trey A. Clark, all of Upper Sandusky, were charged with curfew violation after they were found to be toilet papering a residence in the 10000 block of CH 97, Upper Sandusky, early the morning of May 6. Additional charges were pending for the theft of a stop sign.
A deputy assisted an Upper Sandusky police officer with a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Warpole Street, Upper Sandusky, early the morning of May 6. Two juveniles were taken into custody and told a report would be forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor’s office for review.
A woman from the 100 block of CH 37, Sycamore, reported early the morning of May 6 her daughter had not returned yet from the Seneca East prom and she had been unable to contact her. The girl was located and was OK.
A woman in the 15000 block of TH 101, Upper Sandusky, reported early the morning of May 6 her husband left home and she was afraid he was suicidal. The man was found to be OK.
A woman in the village of Nevada reported the afternoon of May 6 her boyfriend broke a car window and dented her car by kicking it. She later came into the sheriff’s office to sign charges against him.
A woman from the 900 block of CH 34, Sycamore, reported the evening of May 6 her daughter was receiving text messages from her ex-boyfriend, who already had been advised by the Upper Sandusky Police Department to stop contacting her. The woman came into the department to file charges.
Thomas Alba, Fostoria, was charged with OVI and riding a bicycle without lights after a traffic stop on U.S. 23 north of the Ohio 199 northern junction early the morning of May 7.
A man in the 100 block of West Grant Street, Nevada, reported the morning of May 7 he as having trouble again with his neighbor’s dogs barking. A report was forwarded to the dog warden.
A woman in the 200 block of West Sandusky Street, Wharton, reported the evening of May 7 she was receiving threating text messages from her soon-to-be ex-husband. The man was told to stop contacting her.
A woman in the 4000 block of CH 330, Upper Sandusky, reported early the morning of May 8 someone stole her PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, a tin full of coins and her mother’s wedding rings. She named a suspect, who deputies planned to try to contact.
