Safety Blotter: April 26, 2012

Brandeis J. Kirksey, of Fremont, was cited for speed on the afternoon of April 8, while traveling on Ohio 53 just north of Ohio 103.
A deputy was advised of a male subject walking on U.S. 23 near Ohio 294 on the evening of April 8 attempting to wave at and stop traffic. He was traveling with a friend, who stopped and kick him in the ribs and pushed him out of the car. Emergency medical services took the subject to Bucyrus Community Hospital.
A welfare check was performed on a Nevada resident in the 100 block of North Main Street on the night of April 8. Upon contact, all was OK.
Kyle L. Shaw, of Wharton, was arrested on a warrant from the Upper Sandusky Municipal Court on the night of April 8 for failure to pay restitution on a criminal damaging charge and was transported to the Wyandot County Jail. He was advised not to contact his ex-girlfriend by telecommunications from then on.
