A possible fight in the 100 block of Hilcrest Street in Nevada was reported on the early morning of March 25. Contact was made with the couple and they advised they had been drinking, but nothing got physical.
A deputy responded to a Sycamore residence on Ohio 103 East, west of County Line Road, regarding assistance getting a coon dog out of a tree on the early morning of March 25.
Jason Z. Elwood, of Kenton, was placed under arrest and cited for OVI in the early morning of March 25, while also being cited for failure to drive in marked lanes following a traffic stop on Ohio 67.
Deputies responded to Ohio 294, west of CH 108 in Mifflin Township, on the afternoon of March 26 regarding an elderly male slumped over behind the wheel of a vehicle that was pulled off the roadway. The subject said he had pulled over to rest for a bit. The deputies followed him to his residence in Upper Sandusky to assure he made it home safely.
A red truck was attempting to sell meat in Kirby on the afternoon of March 28. Upon arrival, it was learned the truck was delivering meat previously ordered.
Theft of property in the 7000 block of Ohio 199 was reported on the afternoon of March 28. The theft had occurred in 2002 and the statute of limitations is six years. Deputies contacted the assistant prosecutor, who was advised the complainant would file a civil complaint.
A deputy and emergency medical services were paged to the 400 block of West Wyandot Street in Wharton on the afternoon of March 29 regarding a subject being electrically shocked. While doing construction work, it was determined upon arrival the subject had cut his hand and gone into shock. He was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital.
An alarm was going off at Backwoods in Harpster on the evening of March 29. Upon arrival, no visible or audio signs were observed.
Breaking and entering was reported in the 5000 block of CH 47 near Upper Sandusky on the early morning of March 30. A lock was busted off a tool box and some tools were missing.
Dogs were reported to be running loose in the 19000 block of TH 49 near Wharton on the morning of March 30. The dog warden was notified.
Problems with a family member was reported in the 100 block of North Main Street in Kirby on the night of March 30. The complainant said her father-in-law had kicked her and her husband out of the house. Upon arrival, three subjects were found to be very intoxicated and no physical altercation was occurring.
Domestic violence in the 13000 block of TH 135 near Nevada was reported on the morning of March 31. A mother and juvenile son were fighting. The mother was advised she may face criminal charges and the case was going to be reviewed by the Department Job and Family Services and the Upper Sandusky Municipal Court.
Linda Frey, of Kirby, was involved in a non-injury accident in the 5000 block of Ohio 199 in Crawford Township at midnight on April 1 when she struck a dog in the roadway. Damage was done to the vehicle and the dog was deceased.
Derrick J. Meade, of Marion, was cited for driving under a child support suspension on the early morning of April 1 following a routine traffic stop on Ohio 37 in Jackson Township.
Vincent A. Rowland, of Upper Sandusky, was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for possession of an open container of beer in a public place on the early morning of April 1 while in the 100 block of North Main Street in Kirby.
Jaylynn A. Lane, of Dunkirk, was arrested on the early morning of April 1 following a routine traffic stop on Ohio 53 in Upper Sandusky. She was placed under arrest for OVI, underage consumption, possession of marijuana (less than 100 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Trespassing was reported on the morning of April 1 in the 18000 block of Ohio 67 near Marseilles. A chain had been cut off and was missing from a property.
Four-wheelers were reported to be on private property in woods on Ohio 294 between TH 125 and TH 126 in Harpster on the evening of April 1. Contact was made with the subjects.
Brandy J. Fields, of Mount Blanchard, was involved in a non-injury accident on the evening of April 1, while on CH 4 just west of TH 98. She landed in a ditch after swerving to avoid a deer.
An unruly juvenile in the 12000 block of TH 96 near Upper Sandusky was reported on the night of April 1. The 17-year-old was yelling at his parents over the phone. The juvenile already has a domestic violence charge pending from January.
Dalesha M. Bugg, of Cleveland, was picked up and transported on the afternoon of April 2 from Cuyahoga County on a warrant out of Upper Sandusky Municipal Court for failure to pay fines and cost on the original charge of failure to reinstate.
Telephone harassment was reported by a Harpster resident on the afternoon of April 2 concerning possible charges on her ex-husband’s current wife. The subject was sending harassing texts and contact was made with her and she was notified of the complaint.
