The annual tractor pull, truck tug and demolition derby was held during the weekend at the 161st Wyandot County Fair.

5000 pound winners

Chris Pearson Jr. placed first, Anthony Pearson placed second and Bussey placed third in the 5,000-pound division. Chris beat his brother, Anthony, in the semifinal match.

6500 pound winners
Travis Crowley (from left), Martin Kraljevic, Charles Bussey and Bussey’s son stand together after the truck tug event Sunday at the Wyandot County Fair. Crowley was first, Kraljevic was second and Bussey took third in the 6,500-pound division. Bussey also placed in the 5,000-pound division.

8400 pound winners

The antique tractor pull drew a small crowd Saturday morning at the Wyandot County Fair.

Demolition Derby

Tractor pull
Wyandot County fair-goers packed the grandstand Saturday night for a tractor pull. Below: The pull was stopped for 30 minutes after a tractor got off track and ran into a guardrail. Fire crews used a torch and saw to cut the sled free from the guardrail. The accident also briefly knocked out power to parts of the fairgrounds.

Truck heat
Brian Danner (No. 410) plows into another truck during the trucks heat at the demolition derby on Sunday at the Wyandot County Fair. There were two truck heats during the derby, with the top six from each division facing off in a feature match to cap off the night. Danner took first when his two remaining opponents’ trucks were stuck together after a collision.
