Pulling, tugging and demolishing at 161st Wyandot County Fair

The annual tractor pull, truck tug and demolition derby was held during the weekend at the 161st Wyandot County Fair.

Wyandot County fair-goers packed the grandstand Saturday night for a tractor pull. Below: The pull was stopped for 30 minutes after a tractor got off track and ran into a guardrail. Fire crews used a torch and saw to cut the sled free from the guardrail. The accident also briefly knocked out power to parts of the fairgrounds.

Brian Danner (No. 410) plows into another truck during the trucks heat at the demolition derby on Sunday at the Wyandot County Fair. There were two truck heats during the derby, with the top six from each division facing off in a feature match to cap off the night. Danner took first when his two remaining opponents’ trucks were stuck together after a collision.
