The Friends of the Crawford Park District was the recipient of a $2,134.24 matching grant from the Modern Woodmen of America fraternal benefit society. Modern Woodmen matched the income from the Friends’ 2012 Pancakes in the Park event May 9. The Galion chapter of Modern Woodmen, which organizes monthly family events, chose the Friends of the Crawford Park District as its community match service organization for 2012.  The Galion chapter is under the organizational leadership of Susan Hopple (right). The Friends of the Crawford Park District will use this donation to further youth and family nature education programming at the Crawford Park District. Pictured with Hopple is Crawford Park District Director Bill Fisher.
