Boy, 8, reports no major injuries after being struck by Volkswagen

An 8-year-old boy reported minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the 200 block of West Walker Street on Monday afternoon, according to a report by the Upper Sandusky Police Department.
An Upper Sandusky woman reported the accident at 3:02 p.m. She advised a “little boy” ran out into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle, the report says.
The driver, Kelsey M. Armstrong, of Upper Sandusky, turned eastbound onto West Walker Street when a child ran southbound between a stopped vehicle and the vehicle behind it and into the side of Armstrong’s 2004 Volkswagen, the report said.
Minor damage to the vehicle was reported and small lacerations were observed on the child’s forehead, Officer Eric Parks wrote in the report. The child’s grandmother advised no further medical attention was needed.
