Truman Turner Jr.

OAK HILL — Truman Donald Turner Jr. died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012. He was 76.
Born Sept. 23, 1936 in Scioto County, he was a son of the late Truman Roy Turner and Maud (Andre) Turner. He married Janet (Jacobs) Turner on June 10, 1956 and she survives.
Mr. Turner also is survived by two daughters, Sheryl (Randy) Schar, Ashland; and Sue (Ralph) Ingles, Waterloo; two sons, Donald Turner and Douglas (Kim) Turner, both of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Phillip (Jill) Schar, David (Liz) Schar, Cassie (Andrew) Stumbo and Joshua Turner; a great-grandchild, Charlie Schar; three sisters, Iona Stansbery, Helen (Leo) VonDerau and Juanita Arnold; a sister-in-law, Annabelle Turner; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Turner and Ralph Turner; and sister, Myrtle Oliver.
Mr. Turner was a retired farmer of Waterloo. He and his wife were married for 56 years.
He attended Rehobeth Church, Waterloo.
Mr. Turner was a member of Marseilles Masonic Lodge No. 515 and Waterloo Masonic Lodge No. 532.
He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rehobeth Church with the Rev. Henry Hatfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. A Masonic service will be conducted by Waterloo Lodge No. 532. Burial will follow at Rehobeth Cemetery in Lawrence County.
