Phyllis Cook

SYCAMORE — Phyllis D. Cook, of Fostoria, died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 in the emergency room at Fostoria Community Hospital. She was 68.
Born Nov. 9, 1943 in Fostoria, she was a daughter of Lester and Etta (Prenzlin) Myers. She married John J. Cook on July 21, 1962 and he died June 1, 1998.
Surviving are one son, Thomas E. Cook, rural Sycamore; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and nine siblings, Raymond Myers, Tiffin; Robert (Peggy) Myers, Aurora; Donald (Kathy) Myers, Perrysburg; Dennis Myers, Tiffin; Richard Myers, Tiffin; James (Beverly) Myers, Clyde; Doris Ruhlen, Tiffin; Joan (Raymond) Burris, Boliver; and Loretta Robinson-Myers, East Lake, Colo.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Milan Myers and David Myers.
Mrs. Cook as a 1962 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She was retired from the former RCA Plant, Findlay, where she worked for 35 years. She also was a cashier at the former Pharm, Tiffin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Paul Bennett officiating. Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
