SYCAMORE — Carrie Kyan Payne, 106 E. Fourth St., Sycamore, died at the scene of an automobile accident at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008. She was 18.
Born Feb. 22, 1990 in Upper Sandusky, she was a daughter of Steven G. Payne and Debra R. (Carter) Payne.
She is survived by her parents, Sycamore; two brothers, Ryan Sherer and William Payne, both of Sycamore; a paternal grandmother, Bernice Payne, Upper Sandusky; a maternal grandfather, William Carter, Sycamore; three uncles, Ron (Susan) Payne, Fremont; Chris (Sandy) Payne, Sycamore; and Carl Carter, Sycamore; three nieces, Alexis Sherer, Sycamore; and Tyonna Sipe and Trinitee Sipe, both of Upper Sandusky; two nephews, Brandon Sherer, Sycamore; and Wesley Payne, Texas; and many cousins, great aunts, great uncles, extended family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Wesley Payne; and a maternal grandmother, Ineze Carter.
Ms. Payne was a member of the Mohawk High School graduating class of 2008.
She attended Harmony Church, where she was part of the kid’s club youth group.
Her hobbies included fishing, riding four-wheelers, driving her car, being with friends and going to movies with her brothers. She collected Barbie dolls and enjoyed all animals.
Ms. Payne loved children and planned on becoming a teacher. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, great sense of humor and cheerful spirit.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Donald Young officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

| Anthony Gossman
CAREY — Anthony Joshua "Josh" Gossman, 3204 CH 96, Carey, died Friday, May 23, 2008 at his residence. He was 24.
Born Sept. 5, 983 in Findlay, he was a son of Mark Anthony and Karen D. (Secord) Gossman.
Mr. Gossman is survived by his parents, both of Carey; a brother, Jeremy N., Carey; a son, Gabe Anthony, Carey; and a maternal grandfather, Raymond Secord, Arlington.
He had worked at DEYCO and Mueller Plastics in Upper Sandusky. He also assisted his grandfather on the farm and helped build his log cabin home.
Mr. Gossman was a member of the Northwest Ohio Big Buck Association.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallas Cowboys and Jeff Gordon. He enjoyed being with his family and being a father.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. Brent Layne officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.

CAREY — Heidi Marie Tanner, 125 W. Main St., Vanlue, died at 8:52 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Ohio 568 west of Carey.
Arrangements are pending at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
