Ida Munday

Ida L. Munday, formerly of Carey and more recently of Fairhaven Retirement and Health Care Community North Campus, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Fairhaven North. She was 67.
Born May 28, 1940 in Dover, she was a daughter of Sophia (Smith) Eddy. She married Jackie Chappell and they divorced. She married Bill Munday and he died.
Mrs. Munday is survived by two daughters, Christine Harkless, Carey; and Faye Sanders, North Ridgeville; three sons, Jeremy Chappell, Carey; and Jack and Matthew Chappell, both of Cleveland; eight grandchildren, Kara, Jeff, Kelly, Krystal and Jonathan Sanders, all of North Ridgeville; Michelle and Marsha Harkless, both of Carey; and Sarah Miller, North Carolina; and five great-granchildren.
Mrs. Munday was a member of Upper Room Church of God, Findlay.
She worked at Uni-Grip, Upper Sandusky, and had various other jobs in her lifetime.
Mrs. Munday enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Molly and Snuggles, and her pet frog; and knitting, crocheting and playing the piano.
A private family viewing was held at Bringman-Clark Funeral Home. Mrs. Munday was cremated.

Carrie Payne

SYCAMORE - Carrie K. Payne, of Fourth Street, Sycamore, died at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was 18.
Arrangements are pending at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore.

Oreva Phillips

Oreva Phillips, Quincy, Fla., died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Magnolia House, Quincy. She was 96.
Born Oreva Deidrick, she married Harold "Jack" Phillips and he died.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by a daughter, Janet Moore, Locust Grove, Va.; two sons, Dan, Hendersonville, N.C.; and Dave, Crawfordsville, Va.; two brothers, Ken Deidrick, Tiffin; and Dale Deidrick, Findlay; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Phillips was a longtime resident of Upper Sandusky. She and her husband had retired to Palmetto, Fla.
A celebration of Mrs. Phillips’ life will be held in Florida.
Memorials may be made to Hospice or organizations providing care or research for Alzheimer’s disease.

Dana Smith

KENTON - Dana P. Smith, of Kenton and formerly of Forest, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was 43.
Born Oct. 14, 1964 in Circleville, he was a son of Paul Smith and Wanda (Tatman) Durbin.
Mr. Smith is survived by his mother and stepfather Dean Durbin, Mount Vernon; a sister, Dena Musselman, Upper Sandusky; and a companion, Lori Bostater, Kenton.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Smith worked in construction and as a bartender.
He was a member of AMVETS Post No. 20, Kenton.
He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, and his dogs.
There will be no funeral services. Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Price Funeral Home, Kenton.
Memorials may be made to AMVETS Post No. 20 or an organization of the donor’s choice.
