Carl Freshour

MARION - Carl E. Freshour, Marion, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Heartland of Marion. He was 87.
Born Jan. 5, 1921 in Marion, he was a son of Ernest William and Ruth J. (Bridge) Freshour. He married Lucy M. Mercer on April 9, 1945 in Harpster and she survives in Marion.
Mr. Freshour also is survived by a son, Randy, Columbus; a brother, Ralph F., Harpster; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a half-brother, William P. Freshour.
Mr. Freshour was a resident of Marion for most of his life. He retired in 1980 after 36 years as a conductor for the Erie-Lackawana Railroad.
He was a United States Army veteran, having served in World War II.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7201, American Legion No. 162 and Masonic Lodge No. 70.
Graveside services will be held next week at Grand Prairie Cemetery, Brush Ridge.

Michael Mundy

CAREY - Michael D. Mundy, 525 1/2 N. Vance St., Carey, died Friday, May 8, 2008 at his residence. He was 52.
