Lewis Orians

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — Lewis E. Orians, Brunswick, Ga., died Sunday at his residence. He was 79.
Born Dec. 25, 1928, he was a son of Edmund J. and Irma (Rohrbach) Orians. He married Marilyn R. Wright on July 4, 1949 and she died in 1986. He married Roseann Ehrenfried in 1988 and they divorced in 1997.
Mr. Orians is survived by two sons, Michael J., Brunswick; and Timothy J., East Lansing, Mich.; six daughters, Kathleen Orians Dawson, Patricia O. Ferris and Melissa O. Gleaton, all of Brunswick; Maureen R. Northcutt, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Michele A. Adair, The Woodlands, Texas; a brother, James R., Tulsa, Okla.; 12 grandsons; eight granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Orians raised in Tiffin and graduated from Calvert High School. He graduated from the University of Detroit with a bachelor of chemical engineering degree in 1953.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and attained a rank of sergeant.
Mr. Orians worked for 30 years at Wolverine Tube, beginning in 1950. He left the position of quality engineering manager to take the general manager position with High Performance Tube, Brunswick, Ga., in 1980. He retired in 1991 and returned to Tiffin.
He returned to Brunswick in October 2004 to be near his three daughters who live there.
Mr. Orians was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Brunswick.
He also was a member of Council 1939 of the Knights of Columbus and Mensa Society.
The Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Revs. Wilford Logsdon, Cletus Pifher and Leo Kennedy officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Brunswick Memoral Park Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, Brunswick, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society or Hospice of the Golden Isles.

Jeanette Gault-Coakley

CAREY — Jeanette A. Gault-Coakley, 414 S. Patterson St., Carey, died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was 82.
Born Aug. 14, 1925 in Bloomville, she was a daughter of Roy and Alfrieda (Shock) Fatzinger. She married Nelson E. Gault on Nov. 24, 1945 and he died June 19, 1987. She then married George H. Coakley on May 16, 1993 and he survives in Carey.
Mrs. Gault-Coakley also is survived by two daughters, Shirley Aukerman, Findlay; and Peggy Fisher, Mount Cory; two sons, Leonard Gault, Findlay; and Tom Gault, Mount Blanchard; five stepchildren, Barbara Flaherty, Taylor, Mich.; Joyce Smiley, Carey; Suzanne Beekman, Lucasville; Howard Coakley, Mississippi; and David Coakley, Tennessee; two brothers, Harold Fatzinger, Tiffin; and Eugene Fatzinger, Bloomville; three sisters, Rose Ritter, California; Edna Armstrong, Nevada; and Helen Lyons, Huron; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-granchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 22 stepgrandchildren; 27 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Coakley; an stepson in infancy, George Richard Coakley; two brothers, Kenneth and Paul Fatzinger; and a sister, Grace Riedel.
Mrs. Gault-Coakley was a member of Wharton First Church of God.
She retired from Westinghouse Corporation, Upper Sandusky, in 1985 after 20 years of employment.
She enjoyed flower gardening and putting together puzzles.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. Burial will follow in Wharton-Richland Union Cemetery, Wharton. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
