Mildred Rutter

CAREY - Mildred E. Rutter, 603 Crabapple Drive, Carey, died at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Findlay. She was 88.
Born Feb. 22, 1920 in Seneca County, she was a daughter of Harpster H. and Gladys (Keckler) Howell. She married Robert Long and they divorced.
Mrs. Rutter is survived by a daughter, Joan Nye, Carey; two sisters, Bertha O'Ferle, Tiffin; and Barbara Keaffaver, Illinois; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Long Hunter; two brothers, Richard and Harry Howell; and two sisters, Marie Mills and Martha Howell.
Mrs. Rutter was a homemaker, a caregiver for elderly people and worked at Porcelain Products, Carey.
She was a member of Findlay Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. John Hall officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Linda L. Akers, Morral-Kirkpatrick Road, Morral, died at 10:05 a.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008 in the Wyandot Memorial Hospital emergency room. She was 58.
Arrangements are pending at Bringman-Clark Funeral Home.
