Jessie Tharp
CAREY - Jessie Tharp, formerly of Carey and residing at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky, died at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. She was 87.
Born Aug. 23, 1920 in Magoffin County, Ky., she was a daughter of Linden and Gracie (Craft) Ray. She married Clinton Tharp on Nov. 18, 1939 and he died April 17, 1983.
Mrs. Tharp is survived by three children, Rosetta Chilcoat, Russellville, Ark.; Joyce Tharp and Richard Tharp, both of Carey; four sisters, Thelma Caudill, Vanlue; and Lola Lemaster, Delma Baldwin and Ethel Lasley, all of Carey; two brothers, Carl Ray, DeGraff; and Manuel Ray, Carey; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Edward; two brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Tharp was a homemaker and had worked at Carey Handle and Lumber Company.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Freewill Baptist Church, Carey, with the Rev. Bill Mahan officiating. Burial will follow in the Seneca Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, and one hour prior to the service at the church Monday.

Mildred Harigle
BUCYRUS - Mildred I. "Rene" Harigle, Bucyrus, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, from an extended illness. She was 67.
Born Feb. 27, 1941 in Wyandot County, she was a daughter of Robert and Ardena (Pryor) Chance. She married Donald Harigle on Dec. 24, 1996 and he died April 12, 2008.
Mrs. Harigle is survived by two daughters, Robbin Gottfried, LaRue; and Rhonda Williams, Bucyrus; two sons, Harley Lee Hill, Henderson, Texas; and Randy Hill, Carey; four stepchildren, Virginia Ash, North Robinson; Carl Harigle, Marked Tree, Ark.; Gary Harigle, Bucyrus; and John Harigle, Fredericktown; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Robert Chance, Nevada; and two sisters, Barbara Chance, Bucyrus; and Robert Scully, Crestline.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and David Chance; and a sister, Ruth Ann.
An area resident her entire life, Mrs. Harigle graduated from Nevada school. She worked at the former Brown Derby, Bucyrus Community Hospital and for more than 20 years, at Wire Assembly/Burcliff Industries, from which she retired.
She was a life member of Ladies Auxiliary AMVETS Post No. 27 and Women of the Moose.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Higgins officiating. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
