MARION - Charles Steven “Chuck” England, Marion, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at his residence. He was 52.
Born Feb. 14, 1956 in Kenton, he was a son of Robert Paul and Frances Josephine (Riedlinger) England.
Mr. England is survived by his life partner, Eric K. Ward; two brothers, Robert Joseph, Ohio; and Michael John, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Catherine England.
He graduated from Marion Technical College with an associate's degree.
Mr. England served in the United States Airforce from 1978-79 and previously worked as a technician at Marion General Hospital prior to working at Whirlpool Corporation in quality control for 12 years.
He volunteered for the Marion AIDS Task Force.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bringman-Clark Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gunder/Hall and Folk Funeral Directors, 347 W. Center St., Marion; and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at Bringman-Clark Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kirby.
Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.

CAREY - Frederick M. Lynch, 13524 TH 25, Carey, died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at his residence following a brief illness. He was 80.
Born July 27, 1927 in Lincoln, Mo., he was a son of Harvey B. and Eula (Mothersbaugh) Lynch. He married Minnie L. Beckley on Dec. 21, 1947 at the United Methodist church in Cole Camp, Mo., and she survives in Carey.
Mr. Lynch also is survived by a son, David L., Carey; a brother, Charles E., Havre De Grace, Md.; a sister, Shirley Kelley, Chatsworth, Ca.; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Jamie, Justin, Christopher, Kimberly and Valerie; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald W.; and three sisters.
Mr. Lynch retired from United Aircraft Products, Forest, after 30 years of employment as a machinist. He also worked for nine years as a machinist on the Missouri-Pacific Railroad. He owned and operated a carpentry and masonry business until his illness.
He was affiliated with Grace United Methodist Church, Carey.
He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II, serving on a destroyer in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Lynch was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3759, Carey; Ohio Gun Collectors Association; and Tri-State Gun Collectors Association. He also was a member of American Legion No. 344, Carey; Fremont Pigeon Club; and the former Moose Lodge, Carey.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. Debra Ketcham officiating. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey, with military graveside rites being conducted by local veterans associations.

SHELBY - Robert L. Lewis, Shelby, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at Galion Community Hospital following an apparent heart attack. He was 51.
Born June 9, 1956 in Elwood City, Pa., he was a son of Walter W. and Janet (Crable) Lewis, who survive in New Castle, Pa. He married Karine Raymond on Oct. 18, 1986 and she survives in Shelby.
Mr. Lewis also is survived by two sons, Graham and Connor, both at home; a daughter, Kaytlyn, at home; two sisters, Sue Connelly (Drew Deck), New Castle; and Cheryl (Dave) Nerti, Chewton, Pa.; three brothers, Walter A. (Diane), Hermitage, Pa.; James (Maureen), New Castle; and Ronald (Peggy), California, Md.; his in-laws, Merle and Ilse Raymond, Upper Sandusky; a sister-in-law, Dawn (Ron) Davidson, Tiffin; 17 nieces and nephews, one great-niece and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Lauretta Lewis and Herbert and Mable Reno; a brother-in-law, Ken Raymond; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Raymond.
He grew up in Pennsylvania and had been a Shelby area resident for 18 years.
Mr. Lewis graduated from Lawrence Co. Vo-Tech, New Castle, in 1974. He was employed as an assistant manager for Big Wheel, Shelby, from 1987 to 1994. He currently was employed as an assistant manager with Drug Mart since 1994, working in Willard since 1999.
He was a member of Crouse Memorial Lutheran Church, Tiro.
He also was a member of Friends of East Harbor State Park.
Mr. Lewis enjoyed camping, boating, riding motorcycles, attending special events at East Harbor State Park and spending time with his children and family. He was a loving husband and father who never met a stranger and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Barkdull Funeral Home, Shelby. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tiro Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Ralph Kusserow officiating.
Memorials may be made to Mr. Lewis' children's education fund.

James E. Minehart Sr., Lancaster, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster. He was 83.
Arrangements are pending at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home.
