Kenneth Clark

Kenneth D. Clark, Upper Sandusky, died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Fairhaven Retirement and Health Care Community North Campus. He was 77.
Born March 6, 1931 in Nevada, he was a son of Joseph D. and Florence (Klinger) Clark. He married Rosann Tschantz on June 13, 1953 at St. Paul Lutheran Church and she survives.
Mr. Clark also is survived by two sons, Jeffrey D. (Holly), Phoenix; and Brian D., Jupiter, Fla.; two daughters, Sarah (Richard) Koenig, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; and Emily Lease, Hamilton; four grandchildren, Carrie (Nick) Davis, Jennifer (Michael) Mull and Jessica and Christopher Koenig; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Davis and Rylee and Carter Mull; and two sisters, Mary Jane Lodge, Marion; and Nancy Sanders, Hernando, Miss.
Mr. Clark was a 1949 graduate of Harpster High School, where he was active in basketball, track and baseball, in which he achieved two no-hitters. He was scouted and pursued by the former St. Louis Browns professional baseball team. He went to Otterbein College and played varsity basketball until he enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War, having served with the First Armored Division and received a Bronze Star medal.
Mr. Clark retired as plant manager for Orville Redenbacher, Valparaiso, Ind., in 1989.
The funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Seibert officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.

Matthew Fuller

BUTLER - Matthew "Matt" Eric Fuller, rural Butler, died Monday, March 24, 2008. He was 39.
Born March 7, 1969 in Mount Vernon, he was a son of Rollo M. and Dorothy (Woodward) Fuller.
Mr. Fuller is survived by his father, Livingston, Tenn.; his mother, Butler; two sisters, Sheila Burkhart, Perrysville and Marla Tanner, Ontario; a brother, Roll John, Butler; three nieces; four nephews; two aunts and two uncles.
He was preceded in death by three aunts and three uncles.
Mr. Fuller graduated from Clear Fork High School and attended Knox County Joint Vocational School, where he studied telecommunications. As a youth, he participated in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. In high school, he participated in wrestling.
He worked in construction, mostly doing freelance jobs.
He attended Grace Fellowship Church while growing up.
Mr. Fuller was a member of Gold Planner’s Association of America.
He lived in entire life in the Butler area.
He enjoyed making his own toys from boxes and other odds and ends around the house. He also enjoyed fishing and going to auctions with his brother John, repairing things and watching deer, turkey and other wildlife.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Grace Fellowship Church, 365 Straub Road E., Mansfield, with the Rev. Jerry King officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Bellville Snyder Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop No. 170, Ontario, or Grace Fellowship Church Youth Group.

Lester Savidge

Lester Harding Savidge, Sandusky, died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky. He was 87.

Paul Brown

CAREY - Paul E. Brown, formerly of Carey, died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Fairhaven Retirement and Health Care Community North Campus, Upper Sandusky. He was 90.
Born Sept. 8, 1917 in Wyandot County, he was a son of Carl H. and Hazel (Farthing) Brown. He married Mary E. McKee on Oct. 14, 1947 in Modesto, Calif., and she died May 11, 2006.
Mr. Brown is survived by a sister, Ruth Beck, Wharton; a brother, Fred, Mount Blanchard; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sue Ann Brown.
Mr. Brown was a graduate of Carey High School and attended Coin Electrical School. He retired from RCA, where he was an electrician. He also was the owner of Brown Automotive Parts, Fostoria.
Mr. Brown was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Coast Guard.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed traveling, working on cars and fishing.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. Bernie Dickson officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey, with military graveside rites. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Monday.
Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or Gideon International in care of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey OH 43316.

M. Jane Holl

M. Jane (Bringman) Holl, Leipsic, died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in the Meadows of Leipsic Home. She was 92.
Born Sept. 11, 1915 in Upper Sandusky, she was a daughter of Charles W. and Hortense (Neidig) Bringman. She married Lawrence A. Holl on Aug. 5, 1938 and he died April 8, 2003.
Mrs. Holl is survived by two sons, James, Ottawa; and Robert, Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Joanne Sudman, Perrysburg; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wallace and Joseph.
Mrs. Holl was a homemaker.
She was a member of Leipsic United Methodist Church.
She also was a member of the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society and Chi Omega Sorority.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. April 5 at Leipsic United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mary Bushong officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky. There is no visitation.
Memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice or an organization of the donor’s choice in care of Bringman-Clark Funeral Home, 226 E. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky OH 43351.

FOREST - Grace J. Opper, Wharton, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Blanchard Valley Health System, Findlay. She was 78.
