Daniel Elchert
CAREY - Daniel J. Elchert, 10306 Ohio 103, Carey, died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was 58.
Born May 4, 1949 in Tiffin, he was a son of Paul W. and Freda (Green) Elchert. He married Diana Mays and they divorced. He later married Diane Book on June 9, 1989 in Upper Sandusky and she survives in Carey.
He also is survived by his mother, Carey; two sons, Dennis (Ann), Carey; and Brian, McCutchenville; a stepdaughter, Rachel Wagner, Findlay; a stepson, Eric Wagner, Clayton; a granddaughter, Katelynn Elchert; and a stepgrandson, Kory Walton.
Mr. Elchert was a 1967 graduate of Carey High School. He was employed at Seneca Medical, Tiffin, and previously had worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation, Upper Sandusky.
He was a member of the Silver Kings of Yesteryear.
Mr. Elchert enjoyed restoring his John Deere tractor, reading books, taking walks in the woods and going to car shows. He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Toledo Mud Hens and Detroit Tigers.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, with the Rev. Paul Faroh OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Friday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
Memorials may be made to the Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Franciscan Missions Association or an organization of the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey OH 43316.

Kenneth D. Clark, Upper Sandusky, died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Fairhaven Retirement and Health Care Community North Campus. He was 77.

M. Jane (Bringman) Holl, Leipsic, died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Meadows of Leipsic Home. She was 92.
