Patricia Rizor

FOREST - Patricia A. Rizor, 420 W. Dixon St., Forest, died at 10:37 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton. She was 62.
Born Oct. 11, 1945 in Kenton, she was a daughter of Donald W. and Mary Margaret (Anderson) Miller. She married Robert E. Thomas and they divorced. She then married Richard L. Rizor on Aug. 28, 2001 and he survives.
Mrs. Rizor also is survived by a son, Keith Thomas, Wharton; a stepson, Steve Rizor, Texas; three grandchildren, Tricia, Tanya and Dalton Thomas, all of Wharton; six stepgrandchildren, Brad, Nik, Trevor and Tommy Rizor and Ryan and Cass Eldridge, all of Texas; her mother, Mary Margaret Deringer, Kenton; and a brother, Ed Miller, Ada.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Mrs. Rizor was a 1963 graduate of Riverdale High School and a 1964 graduate of Columbus Business University.
She formerly worked at Ohio Northern University College of Law and Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. She also worked as a carrier for The Courier, Findlay; and as a custodian at Community First Bank, Forest, Forest United Methodist Church and Forest Christian Preschool.
Mrs. Rizor was a member of Blanchard River Church of Christ, Dunkirk, and its Ladies Aid Society.
She was an avid Ohio State University fan and enjoyed NASCAR, working outside and spending time with her dog, Lacey.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Clark Sheilds Funeral Home, Forest, with the Rev. Steve Umphress officiating. Burial will be in Hueston Cemetery, Forest. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Blachard River Church of Christ or an organization of the donor's choice.

Alma Risner

CAREY - Alma M. Risner, Fostoria and formerly of Carey, died at 10:50 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Fostoria Community Hospital. She was 86.
Born Aug. 22, 1921 in Magoffin County, Ky., she was a daughter of Bert and Ressie (Arnett) Greene. She married John Thomas and he died. She married Almos Risner on Oct. 10, 1946 and he died Sept. 4, 1981.
Mrs. Risner is survived by two sons, Allen Thomas, Roy, Utah; and Norman Risner, Carey; three daughters, Barbara Greer, Plainsville, Mass.; Diane Benefiel, Fostoria; and Darlene Noreen, Loretta, Minn.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Dortha Gillogly, Mount Cory; Barbara Lou Rogge, Alexandra; Virginia Bergman, Minnesota; and Martha Strange, Branson, Mo.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Faye, Thelma and Orpha Greene; and three brothers, Donald, Kenneth and Clyde Greene.
Mrs. Risner was a homemaker.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. Bobby Turner officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Robert Gonzales

CAREY - Robert Gonzales, 308 N. Main St., Nevada, died at 4:35 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, from injuries sustained from an automobile accident in Crawford County on Jan. 31. He was 43.
Born March 4, 1965 in Geneva, he was a son of Sally Isbell, Carey; and the late Robert Gonzales. He married April Gonzales.
Mr. Gonzales also is survived by a son, Alan, Nevada; four sisters, Virginia (Erick) Riegle, Forest; Sally (Victor) Benavides and Barbara Gamble, both of Findlay; and Gloria Estep, Upper Sandusky; three nieces, Aliza (Jay) Hewitt, Savanna Estep and Erica Riegle; and three nephews, Jason and Tod Gamble and Daniel Riegle.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Richard.
Mr. Gonzales was a United States Marine veteran, having served as a second Marine recon, lav crewman and antitank assaultman from Jan. 23, 1985 to June 18, 1991. His military decorations included a sharp shoot rifle badge, a C-service deployment ribbon second award, a good conduct second award, a national defense service metal, a meritorious unit commendation, a certificate of commendation and a letter of appreciation.
He attended NCO Leadership School through the military.
Mr. Gonzales worked at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, Findlay.
He was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Carey.
He also was a member of Carey Veterans of Foreign Wars and Knights of Columbus, Upper Sandusky.
Mr. Gonzalez enjoyed football, white water rafting, riding four-wheelers and using his creative and artistic abilities.
A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church with the Father Xavier Goulet officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey, where full military rites will be conducted by the Carey joint color guard and the Marine Corp League, Perrsyburg. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Beach Funeral Home, Carey, where a rosary will be said at 8 p.m.
