Mildred Zehfus

Mildred F. Zehfus, formerly of Upper Sandusky and Marblehead, was called home to heaven at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 95.
Born Nov. 12, 1912 in Wharton, she was a daughter of Curtis and Grace (Wise) Corbin. They both preceded her in death. She married Willard Zehfus on Feb. 16, 1932 in Pittsburgh and he died Nov. 20, 1992.
Mrs. Zehfus is survived by two sons, Rodney (Sandra), Marblehead; and Roger (Mona), Mansfield; five grandchildren, Tani Edmonds, Marblehead; Tamara Wilson, Sandusky; Rodney Zehfus II, Taylor, Mich.; Michael Zehfus, Florida; and Misty Zehfus, Mansfield; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Zehfus was a factory worker at North Electric in Upper Sandusky, Galion and Kenton for 30 years.
She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, Lakeside.
She also was a member of Navy Mothers.
Her hobbies included fishing and boating on Lake Erie. She collected antiques and loved going garage sale shopping. Most of all, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 12 p.m. Friday at Bringman-Clark Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry R. Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Old Mission Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Friday.
