FOREST - Dorotha J. Hamilton, 18977 CH 34, Forest, died at 9 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 at her residence. She was 84.
Born Dec. 26, 1923 in Marseilles, she was a daughter of H.D. Dwight and Floy (Barrett) Heckathorn, and a stepdaughter of Ruby Heckathorn. She married Kenneth White and he died. She married William Hamilton and he died.
Mrs. Hamilton is survived by a daughter, Martha Ellcessor, Forest; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jannette Barrett, Kenton.
She was preceded in death by a son, James "JD" White; a daughter, Sandy Culver; and four brothers, John, Warren, Richard and Dwight Heckathorn.
A 1941 Marseilles High School graduate, Mrs. Hamilton retired from North Electric, Kenton, after 30 years.
The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Clark-Shields Funeral Home, Forest, with the Rev. Rex Roth officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday at Clark-Shields Funeral Home, Forest.
