Michael Quinn
KENTON — Michael D. Quinn, of Kenton, died at 8:25 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at his home. He was 65.
Born Feb. 27, 1947 in Kenton, he was a son of the late John and Loretta (Nolan) Quinn. He married Ann Hatcher on Aug. 26, 1967 in Kenton and she survives in Kenton.
Mr. Quinn also is survived by a son, Patrick (Pam) Quinn, Upper Sandusky; three daughters, Laura (Jim) Barber, Minneola, Fla.; and Paula (Robin) Beverly and Sara (Darrin) Reese, both of Kenton; 10 grandchildren, Shawn Quinn, Ryan Quinn, Allison Beverly, Adam Beverly, Erica Beverly, Ethan Beverly, Michael Barber, Jimmy Barber, Graham Reese and Max Reese; and three great-grandchildren, Peyton Quinn, Parker Cline and Aubree Quinn.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Quinn, who died Jan. 15, 1975.
Mr. Quinn was a 1965 graduate of Kenton Senior High School and received a Bachelor of Science in music education from Ohio Northern University in 1969. He retired in 1993 as the church organist at Immaculate Conception Church, Kenton, after 32 years. He also retired from The Kenton Times. He was a former owner of Quinn’s Music, Kenton.
Mr. Quinn was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
His joys in life were spending time with his 13 grandchildren and playing the pipe organ at the church.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Anthony Dinovo officiating. Burial will be in Norman Cemetery, Kenton. Visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. Thursday at Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home, Kenton, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
