NEVADA — Mary June Cover, of Nevada, died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care, Upper Sandusky. She was 93.
Born June 2, 1918 in Bucyrus, she was a daughter of John H. and Agnes (Blowers) Spaid, both deceased. She married Robert E. Kellogg on Oct. 5, 1941 and he died Jan. 21, 1975. She then married Robert P. Cover on June 10, 1978 and he died on Dec. 30, 2001.
Surviving are a son, John (Deb) Kellogg, of Nevada; two daughters, Kay (Don) Nielsen, of Elizabeth, Colo.; and Linda (John) Schulker, of Pueblo, Colo.; four grandchildren, Wes Kellogg, of Delaware; Michelle Wright, of Grove City; and Jenny Mark and Dane Nielsen, both of Colorado; eight stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Joyce (Victor) Falik, who resides in Florida and Canada.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Robbie Jeremy.
Mrs. Cover graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1936 and went on to attend office training in Columbus. She worked for three years with Sozonian Vault Company before working at The First Citizens National Bank, Nevada, retiring from there in 1980 after 24 years.
She was a member of the Nevada Lutheran Church and belonged to the former Progressive Mothers Club, Nevada Garden Gate Club, B & C Club, Creative Eight Craft Club, Crawford County Conservation Club, Golder Agers, Nevada Senior Citizens and the Happy Travelers Club.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, Nevada. Burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
