Joe Riker
FINDLAY — Joe Byron Riker, of rural Forest, died at 2:43 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 due to an automobile accident. He was 68.
Born June 23, 1944 in Findlay, he was a son of the late A.O. and Helen (Wilcox) Riker. He married Jane Riley and they later divorced. He then married Andrea Gadomski and she survives.
Mr. Riker also is survived by four children, Tamera (Philip) Rooney and Leigh Ann Kloeppel, both of Findlay; Ryan Riker, Lexington, Ky.; and Nathan “Nate” (Tiffany) Riker, Findlay; three grandchildren, Tess Rooney and Alex and Chase Kloeppel; and three brothers, Donny (Norma) Riker, Findlay; Bobby Riker, Findlay; and his twin brother, Jay Riker, Findlay.
Mr. Riker retired from Whirlpool Corporation in 2006.
He was a charter member of the Millstream Woodcarvers, a member of the Flag City Corvette Club, an avid bass fisherman and an artist.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Arcadia. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
