Betty Williams

MOUNT VICTORY — Betty L. Williams, of Mount Victory, died at 12:22 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Riverside Hospital. She was 81.
Born July 18, 1930 in Mount Victory, she was a daughter of Thamer and Eva (Smith) Fittro. On July 17, 1949 in Rushylvania, she married Henry Williams and he survives in Mount Victory.
Also surviving are five sons, Russell (Laura) Williams, of Mount Victory; Larry Williams, of Hurst, Texas; Dan Williams, of Bedford, Texas; Terry (Laura) Williams, of Mount Victory; and Mark (Denise) Williams, of Raymond; one brother, Joe Fittro, of Mount Victory; eight grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; one great-grand child; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bruce; and one sister, Eunice Messenger.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a former employee of Elliott Farms.
She was a lifetime member of Church of Christ of Mount Victory and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6817, Ladies Auxiliary of Mount Victory and Church of Christ Ladies Aid.
Mrs. Williams mowed yards in Mount Victory for years. She also cleaned houses and the church for 25 years. She was honored by the church for many years of cleaning services.
She enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening and watching sports on TV, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Mount Victory Church of Christ, with the Rev. Andrew Stahler officiating. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, Mount Victory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gods Life Line of Mount Victory in care of the funeral home.
