Audrey Perkins
TIFFIN — Audrey M. Perkins, of Upper Sandusky, died Tuesday morning, May 15, 2012 as a result of an auto accident. She was 18.
Born Jan. 6, 1994 in Tiffin, she was a daughter of Michael and Joanne (Arbogast) Perkins.
Survivors include her parents, Michael Perkins, of Upper Sandusky; and Joanne (Tom Kapelka) Perkins, of Tiffin; brother, Ryan (fiancée Frankie Kimmet) Perkins, of Tiffin; sister, Amber (Derek Beach) Perkins, of Sycamore; grandparents, Harland and Rosemary Arbogast, of Tiffin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Daryl and Valerie Perkins.
Ms. Perkins was a senior at Mohawk High School. She ran track sprints and hurdles and sang in the choir. She was scheduled to leave for the United States Marine Corps on Aug. 13. She was dedicated to serving in the Marine Corps by working out and training with them to prepare her for boot camp.
Ms. Perkins was a country girl who enjoyed reading, playing loud music, having a good time and hanging out with her friends, especially Kim Danner. She lived life to the fullest, always put others first and sharing her infectious smile.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin. Friends may visit and share stories with the family from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin. A wake service will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk High School Athletic Department or a charity of the donor’s choice.
