Street project begins in Upper

The Ohio Department of Transportation has begun a project to add new pavement to Sandusky Avenue and Eighth Street in Upper Sandusky, with safe sidewalk access points.
A construction crew started on Sandusky Avenue this week and will progress to Eighth Street when finished.
Mayor Washburn and Upper Sandusky City Council applied for and received more than $1 million in 2013 state funding to improve the community, according to the Upper Sandusky Area Chamber of Commerce.
Businesses will remain open during the project.
