MARSEILLES — Marseilles Village Council met in regular session Tuesday with Mayor Rick Arnold, Clerk-treasurer Barbara Arnold, Henry Hensel, John Kennedy, Charlotte Leeth, Becky McKinniss and Cheryl Rhoades present.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Arnold. The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was read and approved. Bills were presented. A motion to pay bills was made by Hensel and seconded by Rhoades.
In old business, mail was distributed to council members and Marseilles festival dates were discussed. Dates will be discussed further at the next park meeting scheduled for Thursday. Council also discussed finishing the park sidewalk project.
In new business, a council member mentioned one of the basketball nets at the park is torn. It was announced that there is a portable toilet at the park for the summer and McKinniss will plant flowers at the village hall and the park. Council also held discussion about a village clean-up day. Mayor Arnold will get quotes from local trash pick-up services.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Hensel and seconded by Leeth. The meeting was adjourned.
