City to move forward on 8th Street waterlines

The city of Upper Sandusky’s Eighth Street waterline project may continue after a special meeting of council Monday evening.

In a quick meeting, council members unanimously approved an ordinance authorizing Mayor Scott Washburn to enter into an agreement with CSX Transportation Inc. for the installation of a waterline.

An encroachment is needed from the railroad company for construction of the waterline, as the utility is on the railroad’s right-of-way, the ordinance says.

The waterline will be installed at mile post QF-217.20 as part of the Eighth Street waterline project.

Ordinance No. 177-12
