Candidates announced for November election

Editor’s Note: The Daily Chief-Union will run feature articles on candidates closer to the election. The Wyandot County Board of Elections has released the names of candidates on the ballot and they are listed below.

The Wyandot County General Election scheduled for Nov. 6 will have the following candidates on the ballot.
Candidates for Wyandot County Commissioner with a term commencing Jan. 2, 2013 include Clem Hoepf, Democrat, Carey; and William J. Clinger, Republican, Harpster. One is to be elected.
Candidates for Wyandot County Commissioner with a term commencing Jan. 3, 2013 include Steven J. Seitz, Republican, Upper Sandusky. One is to be elected for this office.
Candidates for Wyandot County Commissioner with a term commencing Dec. 31, 2014 include Kenneth A. Beamer, Democrat, Upper Sandusky; and Ron L. Metzger, Republican, Forest.
Candidates for Wyandot County Prosecutor include Jonathan K. Miller, Republican, Upper Sandusky; and Mary F. Snyder, Independent, Upper Sandusky.
Candidates for state senator of the 26th District include Tanyce Addison, Democrat; and Dave Burke, Republican.
Candidates for state representative of the 87th House District are Jeffrey Lehart, Democratic; and Jeff McClain, Republican.
One person will be elected for representative of congressional District 5. Candidates are Angela Zimmann, Democrat; Eric Eberly, Libertarian; and Bob Latta, Republican.
Candidates for U.S. senator are Sherrod Brown, Democrat; Joseph Rosario DeMare, Green, write-in; John Fockler, Libertarian, write-in; and Josh Mandel, Republican.
Candidates for Justice of the Supreme Court with a full term commencing Jan. 1, 2013 are Robert W. Price and Terrence O’Donnell.
Candidates for Justice of the Supreme Court with a full term commencing Jan. 2, 2013 are William W. O’Neill and Robert R. Cupp.
Candidates for Justice of the Supreme Court with an unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2014 are Yvette McGee Brown and Sharon L. Kennedy.
Candidates for President and Vice President of the United States include Barack Obama, Democrat; and Mitt Romney, Republican.
Candidates running unopposed include Wyandot County Sheriff Michael R. Hetzel, Republican, Upper Sandusky; Wyandot County Engineer Michael B. Kohl, Republican, Forest; Wyandot County Treasurer Melissa F. Rife, Republican, Upper Sandusky; Wyandot County Clerk of Courts Ann K. Dunbar, Democrat, Upper Sandusky; Wyandot County Coroner Joseph G. Sberna, Republican, Upper Sandusky; Wyandot County Recorder Sandra M. Micheli, Republican, Upper Sanudsky; and Court of Appeals Judge of the Third Appellate District of Ohio, term commencing Feb. 9, 2013, John R. Williamowski, Lima.
