Melissa Lee and Ryan Summit, both of Upper Sandusky, exchanged wedding vows Saturday, June 2, 2012 at North Salem Lutheran Church, Upper Sandusky. The Revs. Joe Trester and Ken Wessler officiated the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is a daughter of Russell and Lu Ann Lee, Upper Sandusky. The groom is a son of Richard and Kathleen Summit, Upper Sandusky.
The bride wore a handmade white lace, V-neck, floor-length gown with a handmade fascinator-style hair piece, with white feathers and netting and a small crystal broach. She carried a bouquet of white tulips, wrapped in black satin and white lace.
Amanda Byers, Upper Sandusky, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Griveas, sister of the groom, New Albany; and Kristy Ratliff, Upper Sandusky.
Scott Dickey, Upper Sandusky, was the best man.
Groomsmen were Bart Summit, brother of the groom, Upper Sandusky; and Nick Lee, brother of the bride, Norwalk.
Pianist Joyce Jackson, cousin of the bride, Findlay; and JoHanna Tangeman, on the harp, Wharton, performed during the ceremony.
Lisa Goodright, cousin of the bride, Milan; and Heather Albanese, cousin of the groom, Powell, did readings.
Holly Jones, cousin of the bride, Naples, Fla.; Brittney Schuster, Columbus; and Nicole Bame, Findlay, registered guests.
A reception was held in the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds, Upper Sandusky.
The new Mrs. Summit is a 1999 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and a 2003 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She is owner of U.S. Fitness, Upper Sandusky.
The groom is a 1993 USHS graduate and a 1997 graduate of Owens Community College. He works in sales at Pfeifer Hardware, Upper Sandusky.
The couple took a wedding trip to Chicago.
The Summits reside at 429 N. Eighth St., Upper Sandusky.
