Ashley Hucke and Ryan Walters, both of Wharton, exchanged wedding vows Saturday, March 31 at Mount Blanchard United Methodist Church. The Rev. Joseph Chrisman officiated the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is a daughter of Joey and Carol Hucke, of Findlay; and Mark and Cheryl Pfeiffer, of Wharton. The groom is a son of Ron and Deb Walters, of Forest.
The bride wore an ivory taffeta strapless gown. Lace beading with pearls, silver sequins and bugle beads embellished the bodice of the corset-back gown. Tiers of ruffles formed the slim A-line skirt which was accented with scattered beaded lace appliqués flowing into a chapel train. She carried ivory roses and ivory gerbera daisies.
Brandy Clay, cousin of the bride, Lima, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kylie Butler, Forest; Amanda Stoops, Carey; and Amy Switzer, Van Buren.
Danny Dukes, Wharton, was the best man.
Groomsmen were Joel Kingen, McCordsville, Ind.; Adam Leightey, Upper Sandusky; and Mike Deter, Arlington.
The flower girl was Kadence Stoops, Carey.
Austin Switzer, Van Buren, was the ringbearer.
A reception was held at 5 p.m. in the Masters’ Building at Wyandot County Fairgrounds, Upper Sandusky.
The new Mrs. Walters is a 2001 graduate of Riverdale High School and a 2006 graduate of Owens Community College. She is a registered nurse at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Riverdale High School. He is a farmer and project manager at Vulcan Fire Protection, Carey.
The couple took a wedding trip to St. Lucia.
They reside in Wharton.
