Rachel Horn and James Pool, both of Upper Sandusky, exchanged wedding vows Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at Wesley Chapel, Upper Sandusky. Mayor Scott Washburn officiated the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is a daughter of Mike and Jennifer Horn, Upper Sandusky. The groom is a son of John and Jan Pool, Upper Sandusky.
The bride wore a soft white strapless tiered skirt dress with a beaded floral bodice and a tulle blusher accented with a flower and feathers. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white silk roses, lilies, beauty berry and apple green hypericum with cascading ivy.
The maid of honor was Ashley Miller, of Upper Sandusky. Bridesmaids were Emily Horn, sister of the bride, Maryville, Tenn.; and Meghan Horn, sister of the bride, Wooster. They wore truffle-colored, one-shoulder asymmetrical neckline chiffon dresses with elegant flower details.
Junior bridesmaids were Louisa Bolzenuis, Upper Arlington, and Alyse Swartz, Upper Sandusky. They wore white one-shoulder, knee-length dresses and red flower pieces in their hair. The attendants carried hand-tied bouquets of orange spray roses, golden rod, red hypericum, gerbera daisies and fall leaves.
All floral arrangements were designed by the bride’s godmother, Christina Nelson.
The best man was Bryan Swartz, Upper Sandusky. Groomsmen were Josh Pool, brother of the groom, and Ryan Swinehart, cousin of the groom, both of Upper Sandusky.
Junior groomsmen were Braxton Swartz and Cole Bowen, both of Upper Sandusky.
The ring bearer was Clayton Bowen, Upper Sandusky.
Chelsea Frey and Mark Wall, cousin of the bride, provided music.
A reception was held at the Moose Lodge following the ceremony.
Maggie Harrington, of North Olmsted, registered 250 guests from Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Colorado and Texas.
The new Mrs. Pool attended Upper Sandusky High School and graduated from The Artisan College of Cosmetology. She is a cosmetologist at Salon 51, Upper Sandusky, and a direct support professional with ECI Inc.
The groom attended USHS and is employed at The Royal Group, Marion.
The couple took a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and reside in Upper Sandusky.
