All proceeds from a poker run during the Upper Sandusky Firemen’s Festival will benefit Sycamore resident Lacie Higgins, organizer Joe Stutz said. The winner of the poker run will get a Jacuzzi room at Comfort Inn, a massage from Serenity Massage and Spa Studios and dinner at the Steer Barn.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. at Thiel’s Motorsports, which is located at the intersection of Wyandot Avenue and Warpole Street in Upper Sandusky, with kickstands going up at 11:30 a.m. The motorcycle run will tour Wyandot County historical spots, such as Indian Mill and Parker Covered Bridge.
Stutz said each rider will receive a card at each stop and extra cards may be purchased at the end of the run for $10. The participant with the best hand will win.
T-shirts also will be sold to benefit Higgins.
Professional photographers will offer family portraits at Thiel’s Motorsports. Participants may take pictures with a motorcycle or other vehicle.
Stutz said participants do not need to have their own bikes.
“We’re really encouraging everyone to come out and get their family pictures taken,” Stutz said.
Photos are available in 8-by-10-inch format for $20 or 5-by-7 for $15. Packages also will be available.
All proceeds from the pictures will go to Higgins, Stutz said.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments may be made in advance by contacting the Upper Sandusky Fire Department at its Facebook page or by calling Stutz at 419-310-0156 or Michelle Gullifer at 419-310-0240.
