Tree Town Fest set for July 12-14

­FOREST — The 2013 Tree Town Festival now is accepting applications for royalty contests.
The festival will be held July 12-14 at Gormley Park, Forest.
There will be three competitions: prince and princess, king and queen, and festival baby. Contestants who sell the most festival tickets will be chosen winners.
Prince and princess contestants must be in the fourth, fifth or sixth grades and attend Riverdale School or live at a Forest address. The winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card and must sell a minimum of 100 tickets to qualify for the prize.
King and queen contestants must be current sophomores, juniors or seniors at Riverdale or live at a Forest address. The winner will receive a $150 Visa Gift Card and must sell a minimum of 150 tickets to qualify for the prize.
Babies must be younger than age 3 by July 1 and must live at a Forest address. Grandparents with a Forest address may enter their grandchildren. The winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card and the family of the child must sell at least 100 tickets to qualify for the prize.
The deadline to enter is June 8.

The Tree Town Festival is sponsored by the Forest Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service. Proceeds will be used to offset the cost to replace out-dated cardiac monitors and defibrillators. A total of $60,000 is needed for the upgrades and the fund currently has $15,000.
