Highway BuyWay sign-up underway

The Wyandot County Visitors Bureau recently announced the dates for this year’s Lincoln Highway BuyWay and the Upper Sandusky Community Garage Sales event.
The events will take place Aug. 9-11, which returns the Upper Sandusky garage sales to the original week of the Lincoln Highway BuyWay event.
The change back to the original weekend has been made to accommodate those who want to shop both the U.S. 127 Sales on the first weekend of August and the Lincoln Highway BuyWay.
The community garage sale event has been run in conjunction with the Lincoln Highway Buyway in past years.
Sign-up for local sales will begin today and end Aug. 3 at the visitor’s bureau office, located in the back office of the Chamber of Commerce building at 108 E. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky.
Provided for the sales participants will be a signs, listing in the local newspaper and listing sheets with a local map that will be available for handout at sales and at various community locations.
Also included are maps, BuyWay information, restaurant guides and more.
The cost is $25, which includes a $10 sign deposit that will be refunded with the return of the sign to the visitor’s bureau office beginning Aug. 14.
Anyone who wants to open a location for group sales during the event should contact the visitor’s bureau so that information can be passed to those looking for such a venue.
