McCUTCHENVILLE — A family fun event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the McCutchenville ballpark off Ohio 53 to benefit 7-year-old Julia Kingseed, who recently underwent surgery for Moyamoya syndrome.
The event will feature a 5K fun run and walk, a kickball tournament, face painting, corn hole, raffles, a concession stand, Zenan’s House of Bounce inflatable rentals and other games.
Sixty percent of profits from Zenan’s House of Bounce will be donated toward Julia’s medical expenses, according to a flier about the event.
A concession stand will offer food and drinks, including snow cones and cotton candy.
A raffle will be drawn Saturday. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. For more information on the raffle, contact the Support Julia Kingseed Facebook page.
The cost for the 5K is $5 per person and $10 per family by Wednesday or $7 per person and $12 per family the day of the event. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the run and walk will begin at 10 a.m.
A kickball tournament for all ages also will be held. Teams must be signed up by 11:30 the day of the event and the tournament starts at noon. The cost is $30 per team by Wednesday or $40 per team the day of the event.
Pre-registration for the 5K and kickball tournament was required by Sunday. For more information, call 419-618-6316 and 567-208-8223 for the 5K run and kickball tournament, respectively.
Proceeds and donations from the event will go to Julia and her family to help with medical expenses from her brain surgery, the flier says.
