HARPSTER — The public is invited to attend the 51st Fourth of July observance at John Green Cemetery near Harpster.
The event will be held at noon.
For the 51st celebration, Kyle Kriebel, a great-grandson of Judge Charlton Myers, will read the Declaration of Independence.
The reading is expected to take about 20 minutes and no speeches are planned this year.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, blankets, tables and chairs.
The cemetery is located off Prospect-Upper Sandusky Road on the east side, approximately 7.9 miles north of Big Island or about 2 miles south of Harpster on CH 119.
An American flag on a power pole will mark the turn.
In the event of rain, the reading will be held at the Morral firehouse.
