Prices to celebrate 50th anniversary

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Joe LeRoy and Elaine Annette Price, of Mount Blanchard, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday. They were married Aug. 25, 1962 at the bride’s home, Hickle Pony Farm.
Mr. Price is a son of Margaret (Secrist) Price, Wharton, and the late Roy Richard Price. Mrs. Price is a daughter of the late Richard and Marguerite (Snyder) Hickle.
The couple has been working side by side as lifelong farmers, growing wheat, soybeans and corn. They also have been managing and eventually owning Hickle Pony Rides, which got its start in 1951.
They have three children, Rochelle (Jayson) Brake, Melanie (Kyle) Halcomb and Carla Vanden Bosch. They also have seven grandchildren and are busy attending all of their activities.
An open house will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Forest Jackson Public Library, 102 W. Lima St., Forest.
