Fair director Dwight Grundtisch (second from right) was honored during a presentation before the open draft horse show Thursday at the Wyandot County Fair for his 39 years of work on the board. Grundtisch and his wife, Mary, both were thanked for their continued support of the fair and horse shows. Also pictured are (from left) Kendra Myers, a member of the horse committee and current adviser to Trails End, the 4-H club Grundtisch started; Glenn Chaffee, a volunteer in the horse arena; Mary Grundtisch; fair board member Mary Long; and Monte Seifert, a fair board member who now will “take the reins” where Dwight Grundtisch left off. The Grundtisches were given a bottle of wine, flowers and a $50 gift card to the Steer Barn.
